"My Guitar", New Album from Ingrid Riollot

On her new album, "My Guitar", Ingrid Riollot records 6 compositions written by the great guitarist Australian born John Williams (not the one of Star Wars). Those pieces are wonderful, and so well written for the guitar but, unfortunately, are not very well known by the audience.

Other than John Williams himself, nobody has yet recorded many of the pieces he composed.

Riollot also records 6 other tracks, including Folk Songs from Ireland, Scotland and Japan, with the famous Sakura Variations.

Also included are a famous and popular Anonymous Romance known in her native country France under the name of "Jeux Interdits" (a famous movie), and a French piece written for piano Gnossienne by Erik Satie.

The arrangement of Down By the Salley Gardens is a premiere world recording made by Gary Ryan, professor at the Royal College of Music in London and guitarist playing with John Williams .
